Dear Reader,
Today has been a very eventful day for me at work. Expecting to be hit and hit by the unexpected, I've had a pre-occupied mind with emotions hitting the highs and the lows.
In the course of the day, a wise man told me, "I don't believe that people are indispensable, however some are irreplaceable."
Do you agree with this statement? What makes one irreplaceable at work? Doesn't being irreplaceable make someone indispensable?

Sounds nice Kalyani, but I don't think anyone can be irreplaceable at work. Come to think of it, the thoughts about someone irreplaceable would be hanging around in the air for a varied duration, after the 'irreplaceable' person has left. Then like everything else, life will take its own course, the air will clear & memories would fade. Soon enough someone else will climb to that pedestal to become 'irreplaceable'. It's a good feeling though to have though "I am irreplaceable"...a kind of high energy ego booster :-)
Thanks Angshuman,
So would you say that both these words "irreplaceable and indispensable" are misplaced if used at work?
Regards,
KK
Well, I do Kalyani! In fact both should have the words 'short-term' after them...then might make sense! If, of course one aims to be one of either, chances are his or her growth would be stunted...of course you would know that as well!
